The plans have been submitted and our planning application has been approved, but the project is still very much in it’s infancy stage.
Key facts on the new pavilion:
Internal floor area of 193m²
Four changing rooms – home, away, umpires and fourth (flexible) changing rooms
Men’s, women’s and disabled toilets
Purpose built bar and kitchen facilities
One thing that immediately stands out is the size of the new pavilion, with the floorspace going from roughly 93m² to 193m².
The home and away changing rooms will each go from 12m² to 20m², with all four changing rooms having dedicated showers.
The social space will go from 36m² to 60m², giving us the chance to host fundraisers and events within the pavilion. Overlooking the field of play, it will also give spectators the chance to enjoy the game whilst being sheltered from the elements.
Although this may be subject to (minor) change, this is how we will expect the building to look from the front and the rear.
Being a multi-year project, we will continue to use the existing building for the foreseeable future with the new building standing separate to our existing pavilion.
Above is the site plan, showing locations of both existing and new buildings. This gives a good indication of both location and scale compared to the current pavilion.
